Polo the ultimate in an elite and exclusive event, Polo at Inglesham Polo Centre enables complete novices to participate safely in the learning and playing of the most exhilarating game in the world.
Whether the objective is to reward or incentivise staff, entertain or impress clients, each Corporate Day guarantees to be the ultimate in satisfaction and enjoyment.
As each participant arrives they will sign in and register for the day, where they will be fitted out with the necessary equipment.
EVENT PROGRAMME AND BRIEFING - 10.00 am
The Programme is made up of four sections - riding, stick work and swing, rules and tactics. Participants are divided on ability and each group rotates and experiences the following.
RIDING
With Over 50 ponies in work all year round, there is a pony to suit all comers. They are responsive and obedient allowing even a complete novice to gain confidence and participate in the match at the end.
THE SWING
With the aid of shorter mallets, clients learn the basic shots from the ground before practicing on horseback
THE WOODEN HORSE
A wooden horse allows clients to concentrate on the swinging and hitting without worrying about the real horse.
BASIC RULES AND TACTICS
The main rules of Polo are explained and basic tactics discussed.
THE MATCH
Clients will be teamed according to ability, and teams of three or four aside compete in a mini tournament.
PRIZE GIVING AND DEBRIEFING
The teams are called up in reverse order to receive their team awards, and team photograph.
LUNCH - 1.00 pm
HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE! - 3.00 pm
